Rambling thoughts: Gender Polarization and solution

In Christ 5

In Christ position

Gender polarization is an ancient monster that has reared its ugly head menacingly and is increasingly prowling around looking for victims to devour in this time. But I cannot remember my siblings and I being deliberately brought up in the polarization way. We were just flowing with life and circumstances.

In my family the women could appear stronger than the men. For example, when a gigantic venomous monitor lizard (or viper) entered our house the men (my dad and eldest brother) ran away and my mom was the one who took up a weapon (a long sharp metal something) pierced the head of the monster and pinned it to the ground. She shouted for the man folk to return and deal with the threshing dying beast. They had no clue what to do. So she instructed them to fetch a tough huge sack so she could cast it into it, tie the sack up and ask them to cart it to the back yard and burn it to ashes. We children were stunned and awed by the cool, composed, tough and bloodless execution all done without display of any emotion on her part.

If my eldest sister was home she probably would have run away too. As for me? I neither fled nor fought. I was just a curious eight years old bystander. Courage is not gender specific. When we kids grow up and have our own family we have displayed immense courage too when needed to protect our loved ones. I cannot think of any specific trait labelled gender-specific in my family.

No, my mom was not a superwoman of gigantic size and power. She was a beautiful, elegant, intelligent and knowledgeable average size business woman. She was considered the best dressed woman for all time in the oil town where she lived most of her adult life. She rose to the monster-killing occasion when needed. Her goal? Protect her little chicks (including a toddler and an infant) like a mother hen does. After the incident she sat down and continued her afternoon tea as if nothing had happened. Then she instructed us to return to our homework. She was capable of and focused on multitasking as the circumstances required. That was my typical mom.

So where do all these ugly scenes of gender polarization out there come from? Knowing where they come from helps us to resolve them or kill them, just as my mom did with the “monster”.

What about running to the street and crying wolves? You may be too late. The monster (mobster) is really big and evil out there and its sole purpose is to use you and other human to steal, kill and destroy everything human value and love.

What is the solution? This is a question for every Christian to turn inward and ask oneself. One thing I know, aligning with the polarization monster will not bring salvation or deliverance. Whatever you do, if the outcome is creating more divisiveness, more hurt and more destruction, then your alignment is with the death monster and not with the super-abundant life that God has promised and given you and your loved ones in Christ Jesus.

My solution? Come to the point where our sole identity is in Christ. Start afresh from this equality foundation. Unshakable. See yourself the way that God has made you in Christ changes how you think about yourself and that matters most. God is a lot more concerned with where you are going than where you came from. God is in the spiritual realm. He has the best thoughts for you. Why don’t you go to Him for your inner healing instead of calling out the dead and let other more destructive men use you for their ends?

current woman gender issue and resolute for 2018 and beyond (part one): spiritual issue and true worth

matthew 12:4850A current woman gender issue. Here is a Q and A based on a gender-struggle interview between two women. For convenience and without hidden meanings, the randomly picked alphabets Q and P are used.
Q: sister, what is your goal for women for 2018 and beyond?
P: well, I would like to see more women in powerful and fearless position.
Q: please define power.
P: I mean more influential and not be brushed aside or portrayed as second class citizen.
Q: where in particular?
P: I mean in governments, politics, professions, education institutions, employments, corporations, organizations, various fields of human activities, societies and communities, churches, all other religions, people groups, developed nations, third world, families, clans, clubs, mass media etc.
Q: given such a vast global goal, how do you think you can achieve it?
P: well, I haven’t thought about the action part. But I can sign petitions, join protests marches and make some noises and other related actions on the street and make life as difficult as possible for men.
Q: don’t you realize when you disrupt the law and order of the land you will adversely affect not just men but also other women, children and people old and young? Do you know the implication to the whole economy?
P: well, to achieve my goal I don’t care about the means and side effects.
Q: ok. what do you think will be the adversed consequences to yourself?
P: o, I haven’t thought of that yet. I suppose in a modern civil developed law abiding society I will be at worst arrested/imprisoned or at best sacked by my employer or avoided by my neighbors. My family too may be adversely affected and lose their peace, good relations with others and perhaps employment opportunities too. All occupations and employments require good relations between all involved in the economic chain, for example, suppliers and consumers, workers and management vertically and horizontally. Most people are not fools. They can foresee trouble and stay a mile away.
Q: what if there will be no free lunches anymore for every inhabitant on earth and your disruptive action causes a loss of employment for you and the breadwinner of your household? Are you prepared to starve yourself and your family for your philosophical cause?
P: well, I have not thought that far. After all right now some people can live in a modern developed civil lawful democratic (through electoral process) society without working. I mean without working on producing anything of value in the economic chain. But I do not want my family to do that.
Q: I commend you for honesty. Let’s examine your goal again. what is your ultimate goal?
P: I just want to be free from fear of being ostracized as a woman.
Q: Are you being ostracized in our modern developed society?
P: Not exactly.
Q: Are other women being ostracized because they are gender women? Please be specific.
P: Well, men don’t say it but in their mind we are inferior. But they need us for their use.
Q: So your issue is about worth. Are you inferior?
P: No, I certainly am not!
Q: Which mind counts most when it comes to assessing your worth? Yours or another person’s mind? Who has the final say about a person’s worth?
P: Well, I believe the final say has to be from God. I know I am precious in God’s eyes.
Q: Would you like to change place with a man who doesn’t think so?
P: Of course not.
Q: When God says women are precious and of great worth in His sight, who can ostracize you and say you are of less worth?
P: No one.
Q: Do you honestly think by going into the street etc. as aforementioned will help you become a gender of more worth?
P: No. I don’t believe so.
Q: Do you honestly think that men do not know the true worth of women?
P: No. I know many appreciate us being women. And I personally know of men who genuinely love and respect women as human of worth. Many Christian men believe in women’s equally precious worth in the sight of God. God-fearing family men of integrity show love and respect to their wives, mothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters.
Q: Then do you still want to starve yourself and family and possibly harm other families’ wellbeing in the nation in which you are a citizen/resident without the issue of getting recognition of your worth as a woman?
P: No, I do not think the issue is relevant now.
Q: What can you do to help other women to know their true worth?
P: I can start by teaching my own little daughter she is of an intrinsic worth that her Creator-God has given and no one (no woman or man or any system) can take away from her.
Q: I agree to that. Where can you find the proof?
P: I can find them in the Bible verses and the life of Jesus who shows us what God thinks of us. I can also share with her all the goodness I have encountered in my life. I will make this my 2018 and beyond goal!
Q: I believe God’s favor is on you. Thank you sister for this interview.
P. Amen. Thank you sister.

Notes about Jesus and His followers:
Jesus treated women kindly and with mercy and grace. He had many women followers from different walks of life. They supported Him and His disciples financially, followed Him faithfully during His ministry even to the cross, and many became His disciples. In the book of Acts we continue to read of women disciples who became influential church planters/leaders. Please read the Gospels and the Scriptures. The following are some of the passages. There are many more New Testament examples in the apostles’ letters to the churches. For those interested in women’s roles and God’s recognition of their worth in the Old Testament, please read my earlier blogs of such records in the Bible. Be pleasantly surprised!
Matthew 27:55-56, Mark 15:40-41, Mark 16:1, John 19:25, Luke 23:55-56, 24:9-10, Luke 8:1-3, Acts 13:30-31, Matthew 12:46-50, Luke 10:42, John 20:16, Acts 1:13-14.

Some interesting and important statistics for men to ponder on:

Women are scarce. In 2015 there were 66 million men without women on this planet. As of the World Population Clock counting at this moment in 2018, 49.6% of the world population are female.

“Left to nature alone, the population on earth would be give or take 50% men and 50% women, according to what’s become known as Fisher’s Principle. The fact that women generally live longer is compensated by the fact of more boys being born than girls (107 boys per 100 girls in 2013).”

“In 2015, men outnumbered women on the planet by more than 66 million, according to the World Bank. What makes this possible, even though a majority of countries have more women than men, is the fact that the most populous countries in the world are also highly imbalanced: India has 48 million more men than women, China nearly 42 million, accounting for 75% of the male surplus worldwide.”

“Highly developed countries tend to have more women in their population. Thirteen of the top 15 countries in the Human Development Index (which measures health, education and prosperity) and 29 of 31 “high-income OECD states” (as defined by the World Bank) have a female population above 50%.”

Here is a very important set of statistics about gender differences that can impact the change of who will be elected for power in USA:
GENDER DIFFERENCES IN VOTER TURNOUT
In recent elections, voter turnout rates for women have equaled or exceeded voter turnout rates for men.
Women, who constitute more than half the population, have cast between four and seven million more votes than men in recent elections.
VOTER TURNOUT IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
In every presidential election since 1980, the proportion of eligible female adults who voted has exceeded the proportion of eligible male adults who voted. …The number of female voters has exceeded the number of male voters in every presidential election since 1964 (see Figure 2)…
